No, you are not getting drunk by eating these.
I could also call them balls for unexpected guests, because they are ready in 10 minutes, and it couldn’t be easier :).
I used rum, but you should use your favorite booze, Bourbon, Brandy, whatever. If you decide to use one of the stronger alcohols, use less than stated in the recipe. And if you are making these for kids, replace the alcohol with milk.
These boozy balls have only a few ingredients and one of them are Loacker wafers which I love using in my no-bake desserts like Chocolate Hazelnut Dessert in a Glass and Filled Chocolate Egg.
This recipe makes 12 balls, so feel free to double or triple the recipe.
Ingredients
120 g semi-sweet chocolate
20 g honey
160 g Loacker hazelnut wafers
100 g chopped roasted hazelnuts
4 tsp milk
4-5 tsp rum (bourbon, brandy)
Instructions
Melt the chocolate with honey over a double boiler. Finely crush the wafers and mix them with half of the hazelnuts. Add the chocolate, milk and rum to the wafers and mix well. Shape 12 balls from the mixture and roll them in the other half of hazelnuts. You are done! 🙂 They are best after some chilling, but you can enjoy them immediately.
