I’m not sure how known rice chocolate is across the world, but here in Slovenia it’s been pretty popular since I remember. I love it because the puffed rice makes it so light and adds an interesting bite to chocolate. I could eat tons of rice chocolate and not get sick!
Someday I randomly bought puffed rice, seems like an interesting ingredient right? Usually, you get it mixed in some cereals but I remembered rice chocolate exist and that I really like it, so I made it at home! It’s so easy it can barely be called a recipe.
You can make homemade rice chocolate so easily and quick there’s no excuse not to make it!
Ingredients
100 g semi-sweet chocolate
100 g milk chocolate
1 biig spoon of hazelnut spread (I used Loacker)
50 g puffed rice
Instructions
Melt all the chocolate over a double boiler and then mix in the hazelnut spread. Add the puffed rice and mix. Spread the chocolate in any pan lined with parchment paper. I put it in a pan that’s 10 x 30 cm. Put the chocolate in the fridge to set. Take it out, cut it and eat!
Keep in the fridge, it’s hot outside!
Enjoy! 🙂
